The Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust is calling for any patients who have been treated during the coronavirus pandemic to get in touch about their experience.

The Patient Experience Team wants to hear from anyone who received care for any reason at any of its hospitals.

By sharing their story via the website Care Opinion, or filling out a short survey about their care, patients that have attended or been treated at either the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, St Michael's Hospital in Hayle or West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance can provide feedback on how well they were cared for, in order to help influence future decisions.

Jess Saunders, patient experience coordinator for the RCHT, said: "The feedback from our patients is so important because it enables us to see what we got right and also to find areas for improvement.

"We're asking for any patients who have received care at any of our three hospitals during the coronavirus pandemic to share their experiences or complete a short online survey.

"The survey contains 19 questions designed to give colleagues at the RCHT a better idea of what more we can do to support patients as we ready ourselves for the winter months, based on the experiences of those we care for."

As well as the survey, patients are being encouraged to share their story via the website Care Opinion.

"Your story might be about you, or someone close to you," added Jess. “You can tell us what happened, what was good, and what could have been better.

"Your story will be posted anonymously on the website. We will then read your story and respond to let you know how your story has been used within our hospitals."
