Police have called for dash cam footage following a crash between a tractor and a motorbike yesterday evening that left the rider with serious injuries.

A major section of the A30 was closed for around four hours on Sunday after the two vehicles collided near Zelah, between Chiverton Cross and the Carland Cross Roundabout.

The crash took place at 5.20pm with the road not reopening until almost 9.30pm.

The air ambulance was sent, but police have since confirmed that the motorcyclist was taken to hospital in an ambulance by road.

The rider's injuries have been described as "serious" but were reported last night to not be life-threatening or life-changing.
