A new shop has opened in Falmouth town centre.

The independent curtain shop Cornish Curtains has recently moved to the town, opening on the High Street.

Previously based in Flushing, the shop claims to have one of Cornwall's largest selections of home fabrics, and hopes to be a welcome new addition to the street.

Business owner Caroline Ingram said: "The High Street end of town has recreated its own buzz and vibrancy, with a very much increased footfall.

"Locals and holiday makers are seeking out the specialist independent shops, whether it be for amazing coffee, cakes or fabrics."

Cornish Curtains offer an all round personal service that includes made-to-measure curtains, Roman Blinds, upholstery, wallpapers, cushions and a measuring and fitting service.

They also offer visits to elderly customers in their homes with samples, so that they can see what the fabric looks like in their own property.

Caroline added: "With the dominance of online shopping, many of us find ourselves missing out on the personal service that can guide us to make the right choices.

"We are able to talk through your interior design options in a relaxed surrounding with an expert who can interpret your personal taste and requirements."

Cornwall Curtains is at 29 High Street, Falmouth.
