These pictures show a car being tossed around in the sea this morning after the driver left it parked overnight in St Agnes.
The silver BMW was abandoned on the beach at St Agnes, according to witnesses.
But shocked on-lookers said they returned this morning to find the vehicle had been swamped by the tide.
Local resident Esther Chase took pictures of the scene and said it was in the sea being tossed about by waves.

She said: "I went down for a swim at 7am today (Friday) and the car was washing around.
"I think a family had driven down in the night and tried to turn around in the beach but got caught by the incoming tide."
The owners of the vehicle have not yet been identified.
