The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has passed the 1,000 mark.
Three new cases of coronavirus in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has been confirmed in the last 24 hours, bringing the area's total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 up to 1,002 as of 3.55pm on Monday, compared to 999 the previous day.
The first case in the area was recorded on March 2, while the highest daily increase occurred on April 16, when 30 new cases were recorded.
Across the UK there have now been 350,100 cases of the virus as of this afternoon – a rise of 2,948 on the previous day.
Nationally, Monday's NHS England figures, which only cover hospital deaths due to coronavirus, show that a further four people who tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,611.
Date of deaths were all on September 5.
Patients were aged between 76 and 95 years old. All had known underlying health conditions.
Their families have been informed.
No deaths were recorded in the south west as a whole.
There have been no hospital deaths in Cornwall since July 2.
The latest weekly Office for National Statistics (ONS) information showed that there have been no rise in deaths this week, since one new death was registered in a care home in Cornwall in the week of August 8 and August 14, but where deaths were registered up to August 22.
The ONS has been collating data for deaths in all settings, including hospitals, care homes and the wider community.
It meant that Cornwall's overall coronavirus death toll has rose to 210, a rise of one on the previous week's update, when the first increase since July 21 was confirmed.
