Police have asked for dash cam footage of a serious crash near Truro over the weekend that has left two people still in hospital.

Officers were called to the collision on the A39 near Buckshead, close to the Penmount Crematorium, around 10.30am on Saturday.

The crash involved three vehicles and three casualties were taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital.

Police said this morning that two people remain in hospital with serious injuries.

Armed police officers, as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team, attended and a forensic examination of the scene was carried out.

A force spokesperson said: "Police would ask that if anyone has witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant dash camera footage, and not already spoken with police, that they make contact quoting log 0376 of 12/09/20.

"Once a full examination of the scene was conducted the road was re-opened.

"Police would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed."
