Police dogs and the force helicopter were called in to help with the search of a missing teenager in Falmouth yesterday.
Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team and the ambulance service were also called later on.
It was after police were called at 2.20am on Sunday with concerns for the welfare of a 19-year-old man who had gone missing from his home in Falmouth.
Officers carried out a search of the area with the help of the police helicopter and dog unit.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "The man was located unwell in the Swanpool Beach area around 6.30am.
"He was treated by ambulance and taken to hospital."

The coastguard team was called in after searches had been taking place for around four hours.
However, members were stood down as they arrived at the scene.
It followed a busy start to the weekend for the Falmouth coastguard volunteers, who were sent to four rescues in the space of three hours during Friday evening.
Three of them centred around Gyllyngvase Beach, with surfers and swimmers finding themselves in difficulties.
