Yesterday marked the final night of the The Beehive in Helston being open to customers - although the hope of a return remains on the cards "in the not too distant future."

"It is with a heavy heart that we have come to this decision, but that is not saying we won't be open, hopefully, in the not too distant future.

"Thank you all for your tremendous support in the last several weeks and once again we say, 'We'll see you on the other side'.

"Stay safe and look after yourselves in these trying times."

The statement was signed off by pub landlord Neal Hicks, along with Georgina and all our great staff.
