There have been 15 new positive cases of coronavirus recorded in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in today’s latest update.
It means that as of 4pm today (Monday) there have now been a total of 1,326 positive test results recorded in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly since the start of the pandemic.
This represents a rate of transmission in the region of 231.9 cases per 100,000 people, which while slowly rising is still low compared to many parts of the country.
Across the UK the overall case figure now sits at 439,013 - a rise of 4,044 cases on the previous day.
There have been no further deaths in Cornwall in the last 24 hours, but nationally a further ten people who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,918.
Patients were aged between 60 and 97 years old. All had known underlying health conditions. Date of death ranges from 24 to 27 September 2020. Their families have been informed.
There were no deaths reported in the south west as a whole.
Tuesday this week (September 22) saw the most recent coronavirus-related hospital death recorded in Cornwall.
The patient died at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, which has now had 67 deaths.
Cornwall Partnerships NHS Trust remains at 26, which makes a combined total of 93 hospital deaths.
The most recent update from the Office for National Statistics, also issued on Tuesday, saw Cornwall's overall coronavirus death toll remain at 210. This figure represents deaths in all settings, including hospitals, care homes and in the community.
These related to the week of September 5 to September 11, but were registered up to September 19.
The ONS data does not include the most recent hospital death confirmed this week by NHS England.

There are now 15 clusters of confirmed coronavirus cases in Cornwall - up from nine in three days, with the number of positive test results more than doubling in that time.
On Friday the Packet reported that the government map of coronavirus cases in England showed there were 55 cases spread over nine cluster areas in Cornwall, but this lunchtime it is now showing a total of 134 cases in 15 areas.
A councillor who has first hand experience of the importance of staying in contact with loved ones while in hospital has stepped in to help families in a similar position.
Paul White, Cornwall councillor for Camborne Roskear, has used some of his Community Chest grant money to buy iPads for patients at St Julia’s and Mount Edgcumbe Hospices, and Camborne-Redruth Community Hospital, also setting up JustGiving fundraising.
People across England are now legally required to self-isolate from this week if they test positive for coronavirus or are contacted by the test and trace service or risk being hit with new fines.
The legal duty to self-isolate came into force on Monday (September 28)– with fines starting at £1,000 and increasing up to £10,000 for repeat offenders or serious breaches, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) said.
