For many dog owners it's the weekend they have been waiting for - a chance to fully return to some of Cornwall's beaches for the first time since May.
As of October 1 dogs can now visit almost all of the county's beaches at any time of the day, after restrictions ended for another year.
A number of beaches in Cornwall have had limits in place over the summer banning dogs during certain times, due to using Public Space Protection Orders from Cornwall Council.
While some beaches only had restrictions running from July 1 to August 31, those which have Blue Flag status or a Seaside Award have restrictions from May 15 to September 30.
The restrictions do not allow dogs to be taken to those beaches between 10am and 6pm each day.
Cornwall Council reissued all the protection orders for beaches this year following a consultation.
