A cyclist is in a critical condition after a serious incident near one of Cornwall's major roundabouts yesterday.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the serious collision between the cyclist and a car on the A390 near Chiverton Cross roundabout yesterday afternoon (Monday, October 12).
The collision occurred at around 3.30pm and involved a black Ford Fiesta.
A police spokesperson said: "A 51-year-old male cyclist sustained life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
"The driver of the Fiesta, a local woman in her 20s, is assisting police with their investigation."
Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team carried out an investigation at the scene to establish how the collision occurred.
Witnesses, and anybody with dashcam footage of the collision, or the driving of the vehicle prior to the collision, are asked to call police on 101 or email 101@dc.media.uk quoting log 519, 12/10/20.
