A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in Camborne yesterday.
Police were contacted by the ambulance service at around 9.45am on Tuesday, after paramedics were sent to an address in Uglow Close over concerns for the welfare of a woman.
The 31-year-old woman was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Her next of kin have been informed.
A police spokesperson said detectives are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
Officers remain at the property and enquiries are ongoing.
The force spokesperson said: "A 48-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and released on police bail until November 12.
"As part of the investigation a second man, aged 48 and from Camborne, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug. He remains in police custody at this time."
Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Uglow Close and Trerise Road areas of Camborne in the early hours of Tuesday, October 20 to come forward.
