Part of the main road between Helston and St Keverne has been closed this morning after a vehicle burst into flames.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said it had been forced to temporarily shut the B3293 on Goonhilly Downs just after 5am.
A spokesperson said at the time: "We are hoping to open one lane shortly, once the scene has been made safe."
An update was then given at 6.21am to say that the road was now passable again, although the one lane still remained blocked.
Fire crews subsequently handed the incident over to Devon and Cornwall Police to arrange for the vehicle to be recovered and fully reopen the road.
This has now taken place and the road is clear again.
The fire service spokesperson added: "At this time we believe the circumstances of the fire are not suspicious and that the cause was accidental."
