The Eden Project has announced today (Monday, October 26) that global legend Diana Ross is to play the Eden Sessions next summer.

Diana was due to play at Eden this summer but all of this year’s Sessions could not take place due to the impacts of the global pandemic.

Eden has confirmed that the Diana Ross Eden Session has now been rescheduled and will take place on June 29, 2021.

Eden is contacting all existing ticket purchasers with details. Original tickets remain valid for the Diana Ross Eden Session and all other Sessions that have been rescheduled.

Rita Broe, managing director of Eden Sessions Ltd, said: “We have been so looking forward to welcoming Diana to the Eden Project and it is wonderful to be able to announce that this hugely-anticipated concert can take place next summer.”

Diana is one of the most successful recording artists and entertainers of all time. From her landmark solo career to the early days as the leader of The Supremes, the superstar singer has helped shape the sound of popular music.

She has an astounding career total of 70 hit singles, including Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I’m Coming Out, Stop! In The Name of Love, Upside Down, I’m Still Waiting and Chain Reaction.

Her portrayal of Billie Holiday in the classic film Lady Sings the Blues resulted in an Oscar nomination and a trophy at the The Golden Globe Awards.

Diana’s international achievements were acknowledged by the prestigious Kennedy Center Honours in Washington DC (2007), celebrating her illustrious career of excellence in music, film, television and theatre, as well as her cultural influences, humanitarian work and her contributions to American culture.

The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences celebrated her remarkable career with its highest honour, The GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. In 2016, Diana received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the most prestigious civilian award given to a U.S. citizen.

Tickets for the Diana Ross concert cost £90 plus £9 booking fee and are on general sale via the website www.edensessions.com at 5pm on Thursday, October 29.

Diana Ross is the fourth rescheduled Eden Session confirmed for the summer of 2021.

The Lionel Richie concert takes place on June 9, 2021, My Chemical Romance will play on June 15, 2021, and The Script perform on July 14, 2021.

Last year’s Eden Sessions line-up saw Stereophonics, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Liam Gallagher, The Chemical Brothers and Kylie Minogue (two nights) play the Eden stage.

Also, to mark the 100th Session, Nile Rodgers and Doves led a galaxy of stars at a special anniversary show.

In September 2019 the Eden Project and global live events company AEG Presents announced a new partnership, Eden Sessions Ltd, to run the Eden Sessions.
