A woman in her 80s had to be treated for her injuries after becoming trapped in a car that flipped over on its side after a collison between three vehicles.
The accident happened on the A39 at Trispen involving two cars and a van.
Emergency services were called at around 4.59pm on Thursday afternoon to reports of a three collision with one person trapped in a vehicle on its side.
By the time they got there the police were already there and ambulance crews were en-route.
Crews from Truro and Newquay Fire Stations attended, along with a rescue tender from Tolvaddon.
Once there crews stabilised the vehicle with the woman trapped inside, and used cutting gear to get her out.
She was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken by ambulance to the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
