POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a serious road crash on the A30 left a woman in her 80s with serious injuries.

The woman was seriously injured after her car was flipped in its side following a collision between a van and two cars at 4.53pm on the A30 at Trispen near the Honda Garage on Thursday, November 19.

The woman was trapped in her vehicle and had to be cut free by firefighters before being taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital by ambulance.

The police are now appealing for anybody who may have seen the accident or have any information about it to contact them immediately.

The appeal issued by Devon and Cornwall Police said: "At 4:53 PM on Thursday 19th November police were notified of a three vehicle collision which occurred on the A39 at the main junction for Trispen, near the Honda Garage.

"The collision involved a silver van, a white car and a silver car.

"The female driver of the silver car sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.

"Any witnesses to the collision who haven’t already spoken to Police are asked to contact the police on 101 quoting log number 660 – 19th November 2020. Police would be particularly interested in anyone who may have dash cam footage of the collision.

"Police would like to thank the members of public for their patience whilst an investigation of the scene was completed."
