Heavy hail showers caused "multiple" vehicles to crash yesterday evening.
Off-duty firefighters stepped in to help one woman who had crashed on the A30 at Carland Cross, just after 7.45pm on Thursday.
An on-duty crew from Perranporth was also sent, after a number of vehicles collided on the roundabout near Mitchell.
A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue said: "One crew from Perranporth attended a call to a multiple vehicle road traffic collision on the Carland Cross roundabout.
"One female was assisted from a vehicle by off-duty firefighters.
"Crews made two vehicles safe and reported that there had been heavy hail showers in the area."
