Icy conditions have been causing problems on the roads in Cornwall as a few parts have even seen a dusting of snow.

People living near Bodmin Moor have reported waking up to a light covering of white.

Across the border however, in Dartmoor and other parts of Devon, snow has been heavier as temperatures drop.

Some parts of Cornwall could see some sleet today, as temperatures fall to as low as 2°C.

However, further south we are more likely to see sun and a bit of rain later this afternoon, with temperatures of 5°C or 6°C - although it could feel more like 0°C according to the Met Office.

Most of the issues on the roads are further up the county, as police put out a warning to slow down and describe "totally inappropriate speeds."

There were multiple crashes reported on the A30 around Goss Moor earlier this morning, with the Devon and Cornwall Police road safety team saying: "People are driving at totally inappropriate speeds."

The main road has been closed at St Columb, with slow traffic reported between the A39 Trekenning Roundabout and the B3274 at Roche Cross due to a crash.

Traffic reports state: "There are poor ice conditions in the area which are not helping."

Station Road in Par is also partially blocked, with slow traffic in the area, due to a collision involving pedestrians near St Andrews Road.

Police are on the way to investigate.
