A 999 call in the early hours of this morning led firefighters scrambling to reports that a car had "gone over a cliff".
A crew from St Just was sent to the Cape Cornwall car park just after 3.50am, where they found a vehicle in a precarious position.
Thankfully the driver had made it out of the car.
The firefighters were able to winch the vehicle back to safety.
A Cornwall Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "One crew from St Just were mobilised to help search for a car which was reported as having gone over a cliff.
"Firefighters located a vehicle in a precarious position in the Cape Cornwall car park.
"The driver of the vehicle was out of the car and in a safe location on arrival of the crews. "Firefighters used lines to secure the vehicle and used the appliance winch to recover the car into the car park.
"This incident was left in the hands of police officers."
