The latest Covid case information for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has been published.
In the most recent update, as of 4.06pm today (Monday, December 7), the local authority area is shown to have 16 new cases recorded in the preceding 24 hours.
The government website states that the total number of cases in the local authority area now sits at 3,866.
There were 145 cases recorded in the seven days lead up to December 2. Data from the most recent five days is not shown due to being incomplete.
This represents a weekly rate of 25.4 cases per 100,000 people.
The UK has had 14,718 new cases reported in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,737,960 nationally since the start of the pandemic.
Friday saw a further rise in the number of people who have died in Cornwall after testing positive for coronavirus.
Friday's update from NHS England showed that one more person had died at the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust, bringing the total to 71.
Their death was recorded on Wednesday (December 2).
The last confirmed hospital death before that was on Thursday, November 19.
The total number of hospital deaths in Cornwall stands at 97, with the remaining 26 taking place at the Cornwall Partnerships NHS Trust earlier in the year.
Nationally a further 190 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 42,579.
Patients were aged between 49 and 100 years old. All except five - aged 50 to 77 years old - had known underlying health conditions, according to NHS England.
The dates of their deaths ranged from Novembr 2 to December 6, with the majority being on or after December 4, and their families have been informed.
Of these, four deaths were in the south west, but none in Cornwall.

The Queen will reportedly receive the Covid-19 vaccine within weeks and make it public afterwards.
Buckingham Palace said it would not comment on the story in The Mail On Sunday which suggests that a public announcement would encourage more people to get the jab.
The head of the UK’s medicines regulator has said there “should be no doubt” about the safety of the Covid-19 vaccine which will be rolled out this week in the largest scale immunisation programme in the UK’s history.
