THE A39 between Falmouth and Truro is closed due to an accident involving two vehicles this evening with drivers being warned to avoid the area.
Falmouth and Helston Police are telling drivers to take care in the adverse driving conditions with heavy sleet and snow on higher ground causing problems on the roads.

The Roads Policing Tean has since described the incident as "serious."
Traffic monitoring systems are reporting that the the collision took place between Kea and the A390 at at Arch Hill.
The road is closed to the south of the city, between Truro and Carnon Downs.

Inrix is reporting the A39 Falmouth Road being clcosed both ways closed with slow traffic due to the collision.
It is affecting traffic approaching and leaving Truro, passing Calenick. The crash took place just south of the Bedlams paintball office.
Rob Hosking from Cornwall Fire Rescue warned that there have been a number of accidents because of snow and was having difficulty changing shifts.
"We're trying to safely make it back to the station, for shift change Police cars revolving light There's been a number of serious RTCs already & several ongoing. Please only head out if it's absolutely necessary & drive appropriately for the conditions!"
