A free online website dedicated to and all about the people of Cornwall has been started by a former Cornwall Today photographer and his partner to help those who are having to isolate.

Cornwall Yesteryear was set up by Terry Harry and Nancy Hembroke during the isolation period caused by the Covid epidemic in March 2020.

Terry, who is St Day born and bred, started ‘Cornwall Today, Yesterday and Dreckly’ magazine in 1994. He has been a photographer for more years than he cares to recall and says he was lucky enough to attend Redruth Grammar School.

Nancy lives in Bude and has the onerous task of collating, typing the articles and proof reading.

The main site is www.cornwallyesteryear.com with various categories in a drop down menu at the top and was started with lots of original Cornwall Today articles.

Both Nancy and Terry said they felt it was time for another magazine dedicated to and all about Cornwall, its people, culture and history.

It includes memories, information on famous Cornish people, details of Cornish-loving organisations and, of course, photos both old and new.

The pair said: "We must say a huge thank you to Steven Webb for his help and consideration, he is a diamond."
