A car overturned this morning and was left on its roof following a crash on the Penryn Bypass.
Traffic built up in both directions on the A39 road between the Asda roundabout and the Hillhead Roundabout, with emergency services at the scene.
Police were directing traffic around the incident, which took place just before 11am.
Traffic monitoring system INRIX initially stated: "Reports of queueing traffic due to overturned car on A39 Penryn Bypass Westbound from A39 (Hillhead roundabout, Penryn) to Antron Hill (Kernick)."
It later upgraded the incident from medium to high severity, saying traffic was now at a standstill.
However, one lane, heading towards Falmouth, was reopened at around 11.40am and it is understood that the whole road will shortly be reopened fully, following the clearance of debris and spilled diesel.
Details were initially sparse from police, but the on duty Force Incident Manager for Devon and Cornwall Police has now given an update to say that no one was injured in the incident.
