All questions about Covid-19 vaccinations in Cornwall and how they work will be answered at a live online discussion this week hosted by Cornwall Council.

‘Covid-19 vaccinations - Your questions answered’ will take place live on Facebook on Tuesday, February 9, at 2pm.

It will be hosted by the authority’s public health team and live-streamed on Cornwall Council’s Facebook page.

On the panel will be the council’s assistant director of public health Dr Ruth Goldstein, infection prevention nurse and vaccinator Tracy Mills, and public health practitioner Dr Whitney Curry.

Anyone can ask questions about how Covid-19 vaccines work, including how they prevent serious illness, whether they stop transmission, who can have the vaccines and when, and why it is important for as many people as possible to get vaccinated.

Dr Goldstein said: “We want to answer as many of your questions on the science of Covid-19 vaccines as possible and why they are a crucial tool in our fight to beat the pandemic.

“You can send us your questions beforehand or just ask them at the Facebook Live event.”

To join the event go to Cornwall Council’s Facebook page.

Anyone can ask questions or add comments on the live event thread. You can also send in questions beforehand by emailing haveyoursay@cornwall.gov.uk
