'Heavy snow showers' are being forecast across Cornwall.

Snow was forecast to fall from last night (Monday), and some areas have reportedly woken up to a light dusting, including in the Wendron area and Madron in west Cornwall.

It is then expected to worsen throughout today (Tuesday).

Although Cornwall misses the Met Office's yellow weather warnings for snow on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, BBC Weather is predicting snow will actually fall across the Duchy.

It forecast light showers from last night, becoming 'heavy' in most areas, including Falmouth, Truro, Helston and Camborne, from 6am today.

However, the far west may have to wait a little longer to see any of the white stuff, with it not expected to start falling until around 2pm – and then only lightly.
