A foul-mouthed shoplifter has not only been told he cannot return to parts of Cornwall but has also been banned from swearing – anywhere in the UK.
Martin Ward, 47, was given a criminal behaviour order after admitting several shoplifting offences.
The order stops him from entering several parts of Newquay, but also bans him from using bad language anywhere in the UK.
It will remain in place until February 9, 2024.

A spokesperson for Newquay police said: "On February 9, 2021 Martin Joseph Ward was issued with a criminal behaviour order by Cornwall Magistrates' Court.
"The order comes after Ward committed numerous shoplifting offences in the Newquay area."
Ward has previously appeared regularly before magistrates in Newquay.
He was most recently in the dock at the end of January for stealing seven Adidas hoodies worth £185 from the Original Factory Store in Newquay on December 5.
He was given a two-month jail sentence and police say he has since failed to respond to help.
