Falmouth coastguard had to launch their inshore lifeboat on Tuesday (Feb 16) after receiving a call about a motorboat in trouble.

The seven metre long vessel had encountered problems with their engine and broken down, while also dragging their anchor off Loe Beach in the Carrick Roads.

The inshore lifeboat was launched and arrived on the scene just after three in the afternoon.

Once the lifeboat was on the scene, the motorboat recovered its anchor and was towed back to Restronguet Creek and safely moored.

The inshore lifeboat was then returned to its station and refuelled, ready to be called upon again if need be.
