Fire crews attended a fire at a property in Crowntown, Helston in the early hours of this morning (Feb 18).

A report came in just before two in the morning of an electrical box that was on fire within the property and appliances from Helston and Tolvaddon were dispatched.

On arrival at the scene, the crew confirmed that smoke was issuing and proceeded to extinguish the fire with breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet.

Western Power Distribution also attended the incident to make the electric box safe and South Western Ambulance Service were requested due to two persons suffering with smoke inhalation and burns to their hands.
