FIREFIGHTERS were called to fourth gorse fire on the Lizard Peninsula last night, just days after another huge gorse fire on the road to The Lizard village.
This time the fire was just behind the Zoar Garage on the B3293 and is the fourth in as many days following another large fire near Predannack on Sunday evening.

Crews from St Keverne and Mullion were called to the scene last night and used fire breaks and beaters to put out the flames.
A report on St Keverne Community Fire Station page said: "A call came in last night to a gorse fire behind Zoar garage. Crews used fire breaks and beaters to extinguish the flames. Two major appliances one from St Keverne and one from Mullion. Two 4X4 appliances one from St Keverne and another from Mullion. Also a co-responder van from Mullion to allow extra personnel to assist with this incident."
It is the fourth gorse fire in as many days to break out on the Lizard Peninsula.
A crew from St Keverne also spent just over two hours on Friday evening, up until midnight, fighting a large fire on the cliffs at Lankidden Cove, down from Ponsongath.
The crew was back out again on Saturday afternoon, joined by another from Mullion, to put out flames on Goonhilly Downs.
This time there were two separate fire fronts, so crews split up to tackle these.
Crews used beaters to extinguish the fires.
On Sunday evening the fire took hold near Predannack, making it the third in as many days.
