The council has ordered the closure of the main road between Helston and Redruth for three weeks.

It is part of Redruth to Helston Safety Scheme and will prevent people from driving the main road from early evening and overnight.

The affected route includes Bucketts Hill, Buller Hill, Penventon, Four Lanes, Church Road, Pencoys, Forest, Nine Maidens, Carthew, Burras, B3297 Between Farms Common And Boquio, Crelly, Trenear, Wendron, and Redruth Road in Redruth

The reasoning behind the closure is to install road safety measures including road marking removal, new road markings and high friction surfacing.

The order will come into place on March 15 on weekdays between the hours of 7pm and 6am and will remain in place for 12 months, however, the works are expected to be completed by April 6 2021.
