A Bristol-based developer has secured planning consent for the first phase of its ten-acre scheme at South Crofty in Pool.
Property developer HBD will soon begin work to build a new 20,000 square foot warehouse and trade centre unit.
The South Crofty development is being delivered as part of a joint venture agreement with the owner of the land, Crofty Developments Limited and it is hoped that, once complete, will create 15 new jobs.
The deal will also act as a catalyst for further development across the remaining eight acres of land.
The current occupier, a builder’s merchant, is expected to move into its own purpose-built accommodation early next year, which would enable development of the site to begin.

James Digby, director and head of region at HBD, said: "We’re pleased that planning has been granted for the redevelopment of the South Crofty site.
"The scheme will attract new investment into the area and create much needed jobs.
"We are currently in the process of selecting a contractor and look forward to starting on site and seeing the scheme begin to take shape."
The South Crofty project is being delivered by HBD’s Bristol office, which undertakes industrial and logistics and urban regeneration schemes across the South West, South Coast and South Wales.
