Fire crews were called out late Sunday evening to an electrical fire approximately five miles south-southwest of Falmouth.

Reports of a fire alarm going off and smoke coming from the inside of a chalet in Constantine were received by Cornwall Fire and Rescue services at around 11.05pm.

Upon arrival at the scene, fire crews discovered an electrical fire had broken out and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used fire extinguishers to put out the flames.

A spokesperson for the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 23:06 Critical control received a call to a fire alarm sounding in a property and reports of smoke coming from within.

"Three Appliances and a wholetime officer were mobilised.

"On arrival crews found an electrical fire in the consumer unit.

"Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used two fire extinguishers to put out the fire.

"Western power also attended to isolate the eclectics.

"All crews have now left scene."
