A 29-YEAR-OLD man has been left fighting for his life after a collision with a BMW car last night.

The pedestrian suffered serious leg injuries following the accident involving a white BMW at 8.24pm in Pool and was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical.

Police were notified of a road traffic collision on Agar Road, Illogan Highway, Pool in Cornwall.

The driver of the BMW, a 24-year-old male and a passenger in the car were not injured and are assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision and who may also have Dash Cam or CCTV of the incident.

A statement issued by Devon and Cornwall Police said: "At about 20:24 hrs on Friday 26th March 2021, Police were notified of a road traffic collision on Agar Road, Illogan Highway, Pool in Cornwall.

"The collision involved a white BMW car and a pedestrian. As a result of the collision the pedestrian, a 29-year-old male, has sustained serious leg injuries and is currently in a critical condition at Derriford Hospital. The driver of the BMW, a 24-year-old male and a passenger in the car were not injured and are assisting Police with their enquiries.

"Officers attended the incident and commenced an investigation of the scene to establish the cause of the collision.

"Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision and who may also have Dash Cam or CCTV of the incident.
