The latest information relating to Covid-19 has now been updated.

There have been no further hospital deaths recorded in the county in today's figures, involving patients testing positive for Covid-19.

The total number of Covid-related deaths at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust remains at 200 while at the Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust it is 62

The combined number of Covid-19 deaths in total in Cornwall's hospitals since the start of the pandemic remains at 262.

The overall number of deaths in Cornwall – including deaths in care homes and other settings – remains at 465 in the 28 days after a positive test, due to a difference in reporting times by NHS England and the Government dashboard.

The number of deaths simply with Covid-19 on the death certificate is now 559 registered up to March 12, the most recent data available. This figure is updated weekly on a Tuesday and includes 14 further deaths in the latest total.

A further 58 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 86,154.

Patients were aged between 39 and 95 years old. All except one (aged 90 years) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from 11 December 2020 to 26 March 2021.

The overall UK figures show 58 more people to have died within 28 days of their first positive test result.

This takes the total number of UK deaths within 28 days to 126,573. These figures include people in care home and other settings.

As of 5.17pm today (Saturday, March 27) there have been 15 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in the previous 24 hours.

The total number of cases in the local authority area since the start of the pandemic is now 14,004.

A delay in reporting meant that the weekly totals have been falling for the last few days, despite the daily case rises, but today 103 cases have been reported in the seven days leading to March 23. The most recent five days are not shown due to incomplete data.

The weekly rate has also risen again, to 18.0 cases per 100,000 people.

The number of people testing positive for coronavirus in the UK has increased by 4,715 in 24 hours, a drop from yesterday This takes the total to 4,329,180 nationally since the start of the pandemic.

As of today (Saturday, March 27) 29,727,435 people in the UK have had received their first Covid-19 vaccination dose, while 3,293,517 people have had their second dose.
