A GORSE fire near St Just is currently being fought on two fronts with smoke easily visible to anyone in the vicinity of Land's End.
Firefighters were first called to the fire in Bartinney, St Just at 7.40am this morning after critical control received reports of flames seen in the area.
Multiple calls were received for the incident as it can be easily seen by anyone within the Lands End vicinity.
One appliance and the L4P from St Just were mobilised immediately. Once in attendance firefighters confronted a fire front of approximately 200 metres. Beaters are in use and crews are making good progress.
At 1.40pm appliances from St Ives and Penzance were also mobilised to the incident with firefighters are now fighting the fire on two fronts.
Posting a video on Twitter, user Emma Phillips said: "Huge gorse fire near Lands End airport, fire crews are on site. Be safe everyone!"

Crews from Perranporth and Tolvaddon fire stations were sent to St Allen, not far from Zelah off the A30, just after 7pm on Thursday to another gorse fire. Dramatic pictures revealed what they had to deal with.
