It was a conundrum with plenty of twists and turns for firefighters yesterday when a snake got itself stuck - in pane of glass.
After trying a number of tricks to get their pet extricated, without success, it's owner turned to the professionals.
The sheet of glass, complete with snake, was taken in to Truro Fire Station, just before 4.30pm.
Here, firefighters were able to use specialist cutting equipment to release the rascal reptile.
The one-year-old corn snake was subsequently reunited with its relieved owner.
A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: " Firefighters used crash rescue equipment to release the snake, which was unharmed by the incident.'
