Pubs in Cornwall with beer gardens and outdoor seating under cover

Come Monday (April 12) all these things will be making a return for the first time in more than three months, when lockdown lifts further to allow hospitality venues to reopen outdoors.

In all cases the current Government regulations will apply, including table service and mask wearing while using any indoor toilet facilities.

Many will ask for test and trace contact details and while the new Government rules mean that two families can now meet outside, regardless of their size, the majority of pubs appear to be sticking to a strict 'Rule of Six' allowance, limiting up to six people regardless of family size. Check individual websites and social media pages for details.

We've rounded up a list of some of the many pubs in Cornwall that have outdoor seating areas and will be opening Monday ready to welcome punters back with open arms (but still no hugs).

The pub spent money on a covered shelter, heating and updated furniture, the addition of wifi and a new ordering and payment system.

Outside area open from 11am. No table bookings but a provisional two-hour slot will be given when you arrive, which can be extended where possible. Table service.

Open for breakfast from 8am, followed by lunches and dinners to 9pm, seven days a week.

Servving food all day in the garden from 12pm to 8pm, with marquee cover.

Open from 12pm and serving food and drink throughout until around 7pm, later if the weather is good or for pre-bookings, seven days a week. Bookings taken. Marquee offering undercover seating in addition to beer garden tables, some of which are also undercover.

Working Boat, Falmouth

The marquee will be open 10am until 10pm, with a maximum of six people per booking. The pub’s horsebox unit will also be open for drinks throughout the day from 10am until late. Sunday roasts return April 18 onwards, from midday until they run out.
