A Cornish folk favourite is set to make a return to Minack Theatre this summer.

After a sell-out solo performance at the Minack Theatre in the summer of 2020, Will Keating will be returning for an evening of folk entertainment.

On Friday August 13, Will will be performing his Cornish folk flavours alongside a selection of special guests.

Will has kept himself busy during lockdown, entertaining a worldwide online audience on the Voices of the Borough Facebook page and is extremely excited to announce what will be happening on the night.

Will said: "I produced and recorded my debut album, Cornwall My Home (Kernow Ow Thre), back in 2017 as a tribute to the fabulous song writing of Harry Glasson.

"I had dreamt someday that the musicians, who had been an integral part in the sound of the album, could one day perform with me at somewhere like the Minack Theatre.

Wills special guests so far include veteran double bass player Claudia Lang-Colmer (Ivy Benson Big Band), multi-award winning pair John Dowling on Banjo & Anna Dowling on fiddle, and a Helston Town Band ensemble.

The evening will also include a remarkable performance from legendary Cornish songwriter himself Harry (Safari) Glasson.

Will is renowned for delivering Cornish Folk songs and has a performing a repertoire that gives an insight into Cornwall’s history and heritage.

Will added: "It really is an honour to play alongside such talented and experienced musicians, and we will be having fun on that stage for sure.

"This has been a difficult year for many and as full-time musicians, we are itching to get back on stage doing what we were born to do."
