A MAN who had a knife at a Bournemouth town centre hotel has been jailed.
Richard John Christian Hassett allegedly had the blade at the Royal Exeter Hotel in Exeter Road on March 8, 2020, with no good reason for having it.
Hassett, 45, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court on April 13 and admitted a single charge of having an article with blade or point in public place.
The defendant, whose address was given as St Swithun's Road, Bournemouth, was committed to prison for three months by district judge Stephen Nicholls.
The offender was also ordered to pay a £122 surcharge and the knife was to be forfeited and destroyed.
