My Chemical Romance have been confirmed for next year’s Eden Sessions after a being rescheduled a second time - a few tickets have become re-available to buy.

The popular USA-based band will now take the stage in front of the Eden Project Biomes on Tuesday May 17, 2022.

Last month Eden announced that the Sessions series of concerts planned for June and July of this year could not take place again, following initial cancellations in 2020, due both times to the impacts of the pandemic and restrictions on outdoor audiences. The ambition is that all of the acts set for this year will be rescheduled.

Eden is contacting all existing ticket purchasers with details. Original tickets remain valid for My Chemical Romance and any other show that is rescheduled.

A limited number of tickets and packages for the rescheduled My Chemical Romance Eden Session are now available to buy at www.edensessions.com

Rita Broe, managing director of Eden Sessions Ltd, said: “The response was huge when we first announced My Chemical Romance.

"We’re thrilled to confirm that they will be with us in 2022 and confident this will be one of the most memorable of Sessions.”

My Chemical Romance were reportedly attracted to appear at the home of the world-renowned environmental and educational charity due to Eden’s green credentials and ground-breaking programmes, aimed at inspiring and educating people about humanity’s reliance on the natural world.

The band formed in Newark, New Jersey, and made their debut in 2002 with the independently released album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.  They signed to Reprise Records the following year and made their major label debut with Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004. The album contained the Platinum hit I'm Not Okay (I Promise), the Gold-certified Helena, and The Ghost of You.

The three-times Platinum The Black Parade was hailed by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the top albums of 2006. The lead single Welcome to the Black Parade topped both Billboard's Alternative Songs tally and the UK Official Singles Chart.  The band toured extensively behind the album - appearing as characters from The Black Parade - and released the live album The Black Parade is Dead! in 2008.

Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys was released in 2010 and topped Billboard's Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums charts. It was followed by a series of singles later released as Conventional Weapons in 2013.

The My Chemical Romance concert is the second Session rescheduled so far for next year.  Eden recently announced that Lionel Richie is set to play on June 14, 2022.

In September 2019 The Eden Project and global live events company AEG Presents announced a new partnership, Eden Sessions Ltd, to run the Eden Sessions.
