This week's Step Back in Time features a number of photographs from 1974, year of the three-day week, the resignation of Richard Nixon, and the first ever broadcast of Bagpuss.
Falmouth History Archive’s 1974 collection of photos includes featuring local personalities across the generations, some shipping interest, and a fast-paced game of cricket at Perran ar worthal.
They also feature pictures of two folk festival organisers, the Miss Cornish Riviera junior and senior competition winners, a little girl who wrote a letter to Princess Ann, the captain of a tanker ship and the Alco sea probe.
