A MOTORCYCLIST and a cyclist were both injured and taken to hospital following a collision in Penzance in the early hours of this morning.

Chyandour Cliff was closed both ways to allow officers to carry out investigation work following a collision between a motorcycle and the bike.

The cyclist and the motorcyclist were taken to hospital as a result of their injuries.

The Inrix traffic report is saying that the road is closed both ways due to accident with  investigation work from B3311 Eastern Green to Britons Hill.

However a spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said the road is now open.

The report from Inrix says: "Traffic is coping well. The road remains closed following an accident that happened in the early hours of the morning. Sensors show the closure has reduced."

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police told the Packet: There was a road traffic accident between a motorcyclist and a cyclist this morning.

"Both were taken to hospital with injuries. It is not known the extent of their injuries at this time. The road is now open."
