A Cornish town has revealed it will be holding a musical extravaganza alongside the Tour of Britain.
Penryn Town Council has announced that the Party in the Park at Trelawny Park will this year be held alongside the Tour of Britain.
Guests will be able to enjoy the bikes whizzing past as they head out from Cornwall for the first stage of the tour on day one.
Also confirmed would be live music acts, a bouncy castle, food and drink, facepainting and picnic areas.
The first live act to be confirmed for the party are The Qwest - a fully-functioning party band whose repertoire includes party anthems from way back in the 60s to modern day classics.
No other acts have yet been confirmed.
The Tour of Britain is taking place on Sunday September 5 and will see cyclists from across the world touring around the British isles.
Starting in Penzance, the tour's route will see several Cornish locations visited such as St Just, St Ives, Hayle, Camborne, Pool, Redruth, Falmouth, Penryn, Truro, Newquay, St Austell and the Eden Project.
Once those taking part in the tour have passed Redruth and Falmouth, those attending Party in the Park will have to keep their eyes peeled for bikes.
The Party in the Park will take place on Sunday September 5 from 12pm to 5pm with admission being free.
