It's a year of changes for Cornwall's local authority but it's not just at county level that people will be casting their votes today.
Some towns and villages will also be holding elections, if enough candidates stood.
A list of Cornwall Council divisions and the towns and village wards with elections can be found below.
This year number of councillors being elected to Cornwall Council will be significantly reduced after the Government decided that it needed to be cut.
At the last elections in 2017 there were 123 councillors elected but now there are just 87 seats up for grabs.
As a result the elections will be contested on all new boundaries with all councillors expected to represent more residents than ever before.
Election day may be today (Thursday) but the votes will not be counted until Friday, when the results will start being announced.
