THE speed limit on The Avenue, Wilton, is to be temporarily reduced to 30pmh.

It is currently 60mph, but will be cut by half from June 14 to August 20.

The order is from its junction with A360 for a distance of approximately 880 metres in a northerly direction.

It is to enable Scottish and Southern Electricity Network to carry out cable laying and associated works.

Kingsway, Wilton, will also have its speed limit cut to 30mph, from its junction with A360 for a distance of approximately 880 metres in an easterly direction.

This is also for cable laying and associated works.

The speed limit restriction will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
