A fire engine ended up losing its wing mirror after trying to navigate through badly parked cars to reach a fire.
Newquay Community Fire Station has reported that one of its appliances 'sacrificed' its wing mirror after having to navigate a narrow street packed with vehicles.
The appliance was attending to a 'persons reported' house fire at the time and unfortunately returned to station with a broken mirror.
The fire service also received help from a local builder, who was on the scene and able to help wake up the person in the house.

In a statement on its Facebook page, Newquay Community Fire Station said: "Just attended a ‘persons reported’ house fire.
"Due to the nature of the call and narrow street with parked vehicles, the driver sacrificed his wing mirror!
"Thankfully, on this occasion, a local builder used his ladder to gain access through a window and wake the occupant.
"Really big shout out to ‘Quiche’ for his selfless act and quick thinking.
"Please remember to park sensibly and consider, ‘could a fire appliance get through?"
Narrow streets are a common cause of annoyance across Cornwall, with residents in Penryn complaining that a combination of bad parking and narrow streets has left them trapped in their homes on a number of occasions.
