The public have been thanked after a missing man was found following a police appeal.

The police appealed to the public to be on the lookout for Wayne Geen who was believed to be in the Marazion area of Cornwall.

This morning the police issued a statement saying Mr Geen, 46, had been found and thanked the public for their help.

"Forty-six-year-old Wayne Green, who had been reported missing in the Marazion/Penzance/St Ives areas of Cornwall, has been found.

"We would like to thank members of the public for their help."

Police became increasingly concerned for the welfare of Mr Geen over the weekend.

He was last seen wearing black trousers and a red t-shirt and is described as being slim, 5ft 10ins tall and having a full head of greying hair.

Police appealed for anyone who saw him or may have seen him to get in touch immediately.
