After months of closure, Newquay Trampoline and Play Park will re-open its children’s soft play area when restrictions are lifted on Monday.

The rest of the facility, including all trampolines, is available for booking from Friday, May 21.

Featuring a main jump zone, an obstacle course, non-jumping challenges and plenty of children-focused activities, the park proved a big hit when it first opened in July 2019 and the GLL team who run it are excited at the prospect of welcoming customers back.

“It’s been a long time but, after weeks of preparation, we’re now raring to go,” said GLL Senior Manager Amelia Kitchen.

“It’s an attraction that really does offer something for everyone and, after such a lengthy lockdown, many adults and children are desperate for exercise. This a great way of getting fit whilst having lots of fun too.

“Our Covid safety measures are rigorous, so people can come to us feeling confident that they’re being well looked after.”

GLL is a not-for-profit social enterprise that runs leisure facilities throughout Cornwall on behalf of the council.

“All leisure centres re-opened on April 12 and it’s been wonderful to see how much customers are enjoying our pools and gyms again,” said GLL’s Cornwall Head of Service James Curry.

“Newquay Trampoline and Play Park has a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art equipment and it will be great to see it properly back in use.

“The last year has been very difficult but there’s a real sense of optimism now that cautious normality is returning.”
