A Redruth-based artist who lost all of her work in the Krowji warehouse fire has met her fundraiser goal in three days after community backing.

Cerisia Ta’Torin, was one of the artists affected when the £2 million pound creative hub burnt down just under two weeks ago (May 16), leaving her with nothing to show for her work but ash.

However, after picking herself up from the loss, Cerisia started a fundraiser on JustGiving in order to raise money so she could start to rebuild her life and began reaching out to the local community.

In just three days, Cerisia's fundraiser hit its £1000 target thanks to an outpouring of support from people who wanted to help support the artist.

In a statement at the time, Cerisia said: "As many of you know on Sunday (May 16) there was a devastating fire at Krowji that destroyed my art studio space and burned all of my work to the ground.

"In that fire I lost my entire business, my happy place, my world.

"All of my equipment and materials that I use to produce my paintings, but it wasn’t just the equipment though, it was all of my work, years of sketchbooks and many items that are completely irreplaceable.
