A WOMAN driver has died after her car left the road yesterday afternoon and landed on top of another vehicle parked at the side of the road.

Police were called to Tregolls Road, Truro shortly after 11am yesterday after it was reported that a vehicle had left the road gone down an embankment and landed on a car parked outside a B&B.

The car, Kia Picanto was reported to have collided with a garden wall and landed on top of another vehicle.

Emergency services including the police and fire and rescue services attended the scene. The woman was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital but later died.

Devon and Cornwall Police issued a statement saying: "Shortly after 11am yesterday (Sunday, June 6) police were called to a report of a collision in Tregolls Road, Truro.

"It was reported that a car - a Kia Picanto - had collided with a garden wall and another vehicle, which was parked.

"Officers attended, along with colleagues from the fire and rescue service.

2The driver of the car - a woman - was taken to hospital but later died.

"Enquiries into the incident are continuing."
